What is The Purpose of Great Commission and You?

GCaY is the command of our Lord to bring the gospel throughout the globe to every individual and to make disciples in all nations. It includes building and multiplying disciples in all nations so that in turn, through the process of spiritual multiplication, they can saturate their countries with the Good News and train other disciples to do the same generation after generation.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20, NIV

Planting Churches

Our goal is to plant, or begin new, fully functioning churches, micro churches, family fellowships, who in turn will also plant churches. You’re a Christian today because somebody planted the church where you worship. Church planting is one of the most effective mission strategies and we encourage and support opportunities to pioneer new expressions of church.

Helping Needy

It’s clear from these passages that God cares about our attitudes toward and actions regarding the hungry, the oppressed, the widows, the strangers, and the or orphans. There are verses here that speak of God’s people being chastised for not treating the poor as equals.

“Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.” James 1:27

Our Ministries

Equipping native Missionaries:

Great Commission and You works with indigenous native missionaries whom God has raised up for himself in some of the most remote places on the earth. Although they are often without much formal training, God has taught them and made them competent. There is a sense in which we would do well to sit at their feet and learn, but there is another sense in which their lives and ministries would prosper even more if they had at least some of the resources that abound among us. It is, therefore, GCaY’s goal to provide whatever training and resources necessary to advance the Gospel through these indigenous native missionaries around the world.

Mass Crusades/ Open air Meetings:

GCaY has been conducting Mass Crusades/Campaigns in south Asia. We build a team to organize and conduct all aspects of the Mass Crusades from renting a venue, equipment rental, staging, lighting, promotion, logistics, working with existing local churches and organizing transportation for the poor from surrounding villages.

Although we love seeing the masses come to Christ, we believe that all evangelism must lead people into the local churches for discipleship/follow-up. Evangelism without follow-up is not works. This is why we work closely with the local churches for each mass crusade, to ensure that every new believer is followed up with and as a result, we’re seeing new believers flood the churches to be disciple after each crusade!

Mahesh is a missionary evangelist who has a passion to win the lost, by preaching the good news gospel message of Jesus Christ. He owned a small district wide business; he is successful businessman with the passion to reach the lost, and is a gifted preacher whose ministry is marked by a powerful evangelistic anointing. He has made it his life's ambition to ensure that the gospel is preached to the ends of the earth, in the darkest, most unreached places of south Asia.

MEDICAL OUTREACHES:

It is our aim to preach the glad tidings of Jesus by showing our good deeds (Matt 5:16), in order to fulfilling this we are conducting medical camps in remote and slum areas where Christ was not preached yet! Before conducting medical camp our team of Great Commission and You, preach Gospel of Jesus to the people and manifest the love of Jesus then conduct medical camp. By God's grace we travelled hundreds of Kilometers and conducted as many as more medical camps, be sure it a blessing to our ministry to win many more souls for the KINGDOM of GOD. Really it is great encouragement to see the lives transformed by showing good deeds.

HIV-RELIEF OPERATION:

“Great Commission and You” conducting monthly HIV-positive people retreat to give hope through the word of God and helping them by giving some nutritious food and little medicines. Every month about 250 HIV positive people participating in the retreats we take this opportunity to lead them to the light of Gospel.

Health clinics:

It is disheartening to see young children suffer from HIV/AIDS, cancer and other sickness, and we consider it a privilege to serve them. Since they are coming from economically poor families, they cannot afford traditional medical treatment. With God's love, we provide them with nutrients and medical assistance.

Many villagers do not have access to proper medical care. Out of that concern was born the idea of conducting medical camps. With the support of Evangelist Raj who is serving our Lord from last 27 years, we started a general medical camp and over the years our efforts have expanded. The Lord wonderfully blessed our limited efforts and we've been able to reach out to the people through Eye Camps, Dental Camps and camps for the Physically Handicapped.

“Great Commission and You” is committed to bringing the people of South India into the light of the Gospel and Jesus Christ. We specifically reach out to the 3 states, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu (border villages only). “Great Commission and You” envisions wholistic approach. Therefore we not only proclaim the Gospel and establish churches and house churches, but also help in social and poverty elevation programs, including health and hygiene projects through various medical camps. The uniting factor is the love of Jesus Christ.

WIDOWS CARE PROJECT:

There are 84 widows in our churches, serving God with fasting and prayers. As there is no body look after them. “Great Commission and You” are taking care of these widows as stipulated in the Holy Bible in their troubles, sickness and maintenance. (James 1:27, Ex 22:24-27), at present GCAY are caring 84 Widows, and needs your help Over 500 plus widows are looking for love, care, food and shelter.

Aged WOMEN-MONHLY CAMPS:

We conduct women monthly retreat to educate them in the word of God mainly and health points, nearly 500 plus women attend every month to these camps, most of women are illiterates. We preach the word of God and our mission doctors to teach health care. We request you, kindly consider the above facts sympathetically keeping in view the difficulties of pastors/evangelists, orphans and widows and HIV-positive people and extended your esteemed and valuable prayers to enable us to go ahead with the expansion of Gospel work more to the unreached and with great joy. We appreciate your payers. It is also our desire to have your gracious presence to share the fellowship if God permits with us.

Water project & Why it is most needed:

Our ministry with the supports of the local donors, we dug the water wells in rural part of our state. Each year we dug 8 to 10 wells, if our Lord leads, we are planning to dug over 100 plus wells per year in rural villages. Clean water needed to the poorest of the poor and needy people in India.

People are suffering for drinking water thousands of children dyeing due to sickness and

disease related to bad water. In India, diarrhea alone causes more than 1,600 deaths daily

One of the most serious problems in India is access to clean drinking water and sanitation. Nearly 226 million people in the country do not have access to safe drinking water and nearly 640 million people do not have primary sanitation facilities. Nearly 1.5 million children under 5 years old die every year because of water related diseases, Out of these nearly 0.5 million children die of diarrhea alone.

Water is scarce in most parts of India, and piped supply of water is not available in most of rural India. Women have to travel long distances to carry home a pot full of water. Most of the people in rural areas drink water directly from polluted ponds. Women walk on average 4 miles a day to collect water and spend around 3-4 hours collecting and carrying water. The average weight of water carried on their heads is 35-40 pounds.

A water well (hand pump) not only brings access to water, but most importantly access to clean drinking water. We get to reach an entire community and share the love of our savior.

The following diseases are the result of unclean water ingested through the stomach:

a) Diarrhea b) Dysentery c) Cholera d) Typhoid e) Hepatitis f) Polio

Children Care Homes:

In our branch churches (“Great Commission and You” village churches) there are more than 850 children attending regularly to Sunday school. All these children are poor and downtrodden. Out of them we have picked up 74 children who are very poor, some street kids, and some from slums dwellers who do not have mother or father. They do not have homes to keep themselves. We started to feed such children and gathered them and trained them up in the fear of God. Most of these kids are orphans; they become pickers of plastic glasses, metals and other recyclables from garbage dumps and from the road – side through which they earn a negligible to quench their hunger and Thirst a little bit. All these kids are being looked after by our family and me and being sheltered in a small room attached to the church. All our churches members as co-laborers working hard for their livelihood. They are now growing in a civilized manner and is a spiritual life i.e. Reading Bible, singing devotional songs and praying. They are admitted in elementary educational school and nearby to our churches. We are experiencing much difficult to feed children. We are really overpowered by the needs of these kids. It becomes more difficult for us to dismiss these who are brought by their guardians, who are too old and elderly. These kids have no choice than looking for anyone who is ready to assist them. The position has become very critical and we cannot send them out as there is no body to look after. It is our passion to arrange shelters for such children and train them up in the fear of God. Bible says” Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. We request you in Jesus name, extended your prayers towards poor children in our care, to gather we will reach these dear children to fulfill the great commission which Christ has given us. Matt 18:5. (Lam 5:3; Deu 24:17, 21; Job 29:12; Jams 1:27)

EVANGELISTS / PASTORS:

There are 18 full time evangelists/pastors involved in the Ministry. They are working in remote villages where there are no transport facilities. They do not have houses to live and prayer halls for gathering and for worshipping the Lord, they are residing is small huts at the mercy of members. They are proclaiming the gospel among the heathen, magicians and among anti-Christians. Many poor evangelists sometimes they are being forced to spend starving. I request you, please remember our ministry and pastors/evangelists for us as the Lord leads you. Anything your help to our co-workers will go a long way and bear eternal fruit. (II Chro 31:4-12, Ez 44:30, Gal 6:2, 6; Num 18:19; Due 12:19)

Church Planting and House Churches:

With a strong focus on discipleship, “Great Commission and You” envisions Church Planting and Evangelism working in tandem. To that end, “Great Commission and You” is committed to wholistic presentation of the gospel. “Great Commission and You” has established 31 sister churches and 215 House churches in places where no Christian has lived before. “Great Commission and You” Churches have been established in most rural parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and also Tamil Nadu border villages. “Great Commission and You” are actively working among 11 people groups such as the Lambada, Relli, Koyya, Yanadulu, Senchulu groups.

Caring HIV/AIDS Patients, Counseling, giving Nutrition:

Our co-workers are being taught about general health and hygiene so that they can take the message to their villages.

HIV/Aids Awareness: HIV/Aids is one of the greatest humanitarian emergencies. Almost every nation is fighting to solve this issue, which has the potential to wipe out mankind. It is the third world countries that are now seriously affected with this malaise. Poverty, illiteracy, and superstitious beliefs, coupled with loose living and lack of basic health care and hygiene contribute to the spread of this disease.

There are 2.4 million HIV/AIDS patients in India. The number of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) are estimated at around 2.4 million. Southern States have the largest number of PLHIV viz. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka being the top three. Annual New Infection (ANI) are estimated at 62.97 thousand in 2021 in India. Out of this, (Andhra Pradesh – 500,000, Maharashtra – 420,000, Karnataka – 250,000, Tamil Nadu – 150,000) account for 55% of all HIV infections in the country.

This disease is making rapid strides, especially in the rural and backward regions of the state, where the people have no knowledge of the disease or prevention. Those afflicted are not willing to admit infection for fear of being treated as outcasts. Therefore, they keep on spreading the disease without realizing the destruction.

In this grave situation we have taken up the challenge of rendering aid to those with AIDS. “Great Commission and You” has set up a Health Care Center, which is exclusively rendering services to 250-300 HIV patients at monthly clinics that we operate though our teams. We provide free medicine, counseling and food apart from sharing the hope one has in Christ Jesus.

Vacation Bible School:

“Great Commission and You” VBS programs have been providing us with a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel with non-Christian children – some of whom have never been inside a church before. We use songs, fun activities and life-transforming Bible stories to connect the children with God. These interactive VBS programs help us bond with the children and share Christ's love with them. Apart from providing secular education, we wanted to mold the children into future leaders by nourishing them with the Word of God. Hence we are reaching out to the children through Vacation Bible Schools. We and our partner ministries have conducted Children's Camps in more than 135 villages/slums/tribe inhabitants/ forest hamlet reaching 18000 children with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, and thus transforming them.

Summer Children's Retreat:

Once a year, we conduct a Four-day mega VBS for children at villages in the rented tents or halls. This is a more in-depth Retreat, aimed at helping children discover God's Word in a fun and unforgettable way. GCAY trained Children's Ministers use relational, learner-based methods to impart the Gospel to the youngsters. Our dream is to change the lives of these little ones by teaching them practical actionable ways in which they can relate with God.

Educational Project:

Because of rampant poverty, most of the children do not get the opportunity to attend school. Hence many children are forced to work from an early age, so that they can provide for their families. To provide hope to such deprived children, We help thousands of the Students with school supplies each year. In year 2025 we are planning to start a school for the destitute children, we are going to give any name to this school suggested by the donor.

Discipleship Training:

Large numbers respond to the Gospel at the Annual Youth Meeting. We conduct twice a year, a Three-day Follow-Up Camp for the spiritual development and nurture of these new believers. At the Discipleship Youth Camp, the youngsters personally experience Christian life and values in a Christ-centered atmosphere. We equip each of them to live out their faith, so that they can take home what they've learnt and share God's amazing love with their families and friends.

Youth Mentoring Meeting:

The Youth Mentoring Meeting is an intensive training program. We have 7 branches, we personally mentor them one-on-one. Our staff and team-members focus on building relationships and modeling what it means to live a Christ-centered life. Resource persons provide Life Skills training and Vocational classes during the Camp, equipping youngsters to discipline themselves and respond to the challenges of life.

Elijah Bakery to bake for widows and Orphans:

We are providing cakes, other food items to the slum families, poor people and also widows, we make cakes and bread and other items, we gather info and date of births (even they dont know there’s date of births, in slum children and people in official records they don’t have proper info, as for UNICEF, Almost 38% of Indian children don’t have a birth certificate). We make cakes and other items in Elijah Bakery and take to slums and arrange birthday party and we celebrate event with all slum. Many slum children dreams to have cake in their birthday. WE help almost 400 plus slum children through Elijah Bakery Project.

Feeding Project:

Each week, 52 times in a years, we make food biryani with chicken curry in our Elijah Bakery’s kitchen and we distribute to the slums children and homeless children and families. Due to lack of funds we are not able to provide each day, praying for sufficient funds to extend our work daily to provides food for the homeless and poor slum children.

Home for Handicapped:

We gave shelter to the 18 handicapped people in our shelter, providing the food and care.

Bibles to New Christians:

WE are distributing Holy Bibles in local languages in villages of three states, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu (border villages of Tamil Nadu). Each year we are supplying 12500 to 13000 Holy Bibles.

Gospel Tracts:

We highly needs of Gospel tracts for our street evangelism by our native missionaries and youth evangelists and trainee pastors, each year we need over 2M gospel tracts in each language.

Tools for the evangelists and native missionaries:

Bicycles, Floor Mats, Gas/solar Lanterns, Musical Instruments, Mosquito Nets.

Sewing Machines:

We distribute sewing machines to widows or poor women after they completes the basic tailor training course, then we give free sewing machine to the fully trained widow or poor women.

“Great Commission and You” International Missions

In Nepal we are already started GCAY activities in south part of Nepal, feeding the slum children and sewing Center and also helping the native missionaries.
